How to Turn Your Book into 10K Clients (Part 2) 5 Ways to Add Value

Whether you have one program or several, the key to raising your rates is to garner more expertise but, more importantly, to add value. In other words, what else would your buyers want and be willing to pay more money for?

1. Offer more contact with you.
The more time you give people, the more they pay. How much you can charge goes up based on accessibility:

1. Home study programs are the lowest price
2. Group programs are medium priced
3. One-on-one coaching is the highest price.

Remember, you always want to base your programs on value NOT on the number of hours you spend with clients. As you get more expertise and more testimonials, you can raise your rates for group programs and individual coaching. This is how you get to 10K clients and even higher.

Here’s an example. When I taught my 3 Days to eBook Cash Program in a workshop setting, I was able to double the price of the workshop by adding some done-for-you services with it. By offering a book cover, an edit for the first 3 only at $3,000 per student, it guaranteed me a minimum of $9,000 regardless of how many more students registered. I also offered 30 days of email access to me and a 1-hour strategy session +1 Week of promotion to my entire community, which at that time were about 20,000 if they joined while we were on the webinar.

Note: Home study programs can also be raised depending on what your starting price is. Most go in the range of $97 to $497 although some go higher.

2. Surprise your customers with unannounced bonuses or gifts. People love to be rewarded for taking action and deciding to work with you. When you give them extra bonuses or gifts it rewards them and makes them feel good about the decisions they have made.

Bonuses may be other courses, or process that enhance the program they are currently taking. Gifts may include gift cards or as with one $5,000 program I took, a Christmas gift basket. The possibilities are really endless!

3. Give First-class Service
Let your clients know how much you care by being there for them. When I work with clients, I give their projects as much attention and care as I give my own and they appreciate it. They will not only feel that they got more than their m oney’s worth, but they will want to work with you again and again and send you referrals as well.

4. Praise clients for a job well done. People love praise and when you encourage them, they feel again that you care and they will feel like they are getting more from your program than if you don’t seem to notice their or applaud their progress. You may even give them a shout out on Facebook.

5.Promote them. I promote my individual clients’ books, posts, and offerings in social media, when it is appropriate for me to do so-that means I know it would be of interest to my community. Since my reach is over 30,000 people at this point, this adds a lot of value to whatever I offer my clients. If you don’t have a lot of followers or subscribers, that’s okay, you can still promote them. For instance, you can use their case studies as examples when you do Facebook Live sessions, you can interview them and put the interview on You Tube and/or other sites such as LinktoExpert (you have to be a member but it is well worth it! And even if you are just getting started on Facebook, Facebook live sessions can get you a lot of views and subscribers quickly, depending on how often you do them and how you promote them.

To recap, create systems or processes, create more value by giving them more access to you personally, surprise your customers with unannounced bonuses or gifts, give first-class service, praise clients for a job well done, and promote them and you’ll be on your way to 10K!
